I love the thrift store. Some days it is just filled with junk and other days it is a treasure trove.
Noah is constantly bored with the toys he has and I try to add new ones and clean them out and rotate them. I have a bin of toys that I put away and then pull them out every few months when we clean out toys. I put some of the good toys he does not play with in the bin and toss any broken ones we find. I then pull out the bin toys next time we clean out and they are interesting again.
I also love to toy shop at the thrift store. Ours gets brand new toys from Target that just did not sell or had packaging issues. I also find that as children outgrow toys people donate them. Yesterday I found 8 Bionicle Toy Canisters with the Bionicles inside them for .25 cents each. These retail for $8 or $9 each.
Here is what he has put together today from this purchase. So far only one has a missing piece and it is not a big deal you do not notice it is gone. My husband found the online instructions to help put them together.
