I am signed up for a trunk and for a booth at the church trunk and treat this year. The booth will be a bean bag toss. I made some cute Candy Corn Bean Bags for the kids to toss into the corn hole game board that will be decorated for Halloween.
Want to make some for yourself?
You will need flannel in yellow, orange and white along with thread. I used orange thread to contrast on one set and yellow on the other set. I will have two toss games going so I made the sets a bit different to tell them apart. Some are orange on the bottom and some are orange at the top. This also saved fabric.
Cut strips of each color. I folded the fabric over once so it would fit on my cutting mat. I used a rotary cutter to cut strips of each color 2.5 inches wide.
Then sew the strips together length wise using a straight stitch.
Next fold the large strip in half and make a template for your candy corn and cut out the shapes double layer so that you cut a matching front and back piece at the same time.
Sew from the orange corner around the tip and to the other orange corner with a small zig zag stitch.
Fill with rice, pop corn, small beans or weighted filler.
Sew the bottom closed with a zig zag stitch.
Use empty cans or canisters if you do not have a corn hole game board.
My 6 year old is in love with this game and is practicing to win candy at the trunk or treat.
